I really needed a new Loupe so I purchased this one at the 2018 NYINC Show.

Nice loop

 

Not a fan of lighted loups. They tend to bleach areas out.

 

Keep it on OFF
I need it more for my metal detected coins.

What is the little metal key looking thing for?

 

I would assume it's to toggle the light switch

 

To change the batteries

 

Is it from a reputable maker? I am very picky about my loupes, and I go for quality over gimmicky add-ons. I usually stick to Bausch and Lomb.

 

I'm not a fan of the light. I think that would drive me crazy.

 

Yes.. As stated, to remove the battery cover. Twist with the key and it pops out.

 

My thoughts exactly. I love my Belomo 10x. Best loupe I've ever used in terms of optics quality and how it feels in the hand. Better then any B&L, Hastings etc I've used.

 

i have one in 30x-21mm lighted, also for metal detecting.

 

I like my LED loupe also. The LED on my loupe shows scratches really well. On a dimly lit show bourse that LED is invaluable. After buying one whizzed coin at a show that LED is a money saver. I get funny looks when I use it. But, I am not getting a whizzed coin past me again. Whatever tool I can use to keep from getting ripped off is a good investment. Good buy.
