Just thought I'd share this found a 1904 Indian head one cent in a coin roll in circulation yesterday if anyone knows about any errors thanks for your help
Any denomination of coins minted in the US can have a type of Mint Error. But not on all of them. Looks like you have a well circulated and corroded Cent
I got a 1905 in change a couple of months ago at the grocery store. First one in over 50 years that I found in a roll or change.
Just curios if there was any major erros on tge 1904 i did find it in a bucket of pennies at the gas station
Good find in change. The only error that I know of is an RPD, FS-301. Since your coin is pretty worn, it will be hard to see this. Here is a link to it in NGC Variety Plus. https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-varieties/indian-cents/1904-1-04-1c-fs-301-4005/
Consider also that less cosmopolitan areas are less likely to have anything like this still in circulation. The only (few) collector coins I've gotten in the past 45 years were brought into the customer service desk I worked at years ago in a supermarket. Before that, I had to take a second look at the near perfect 1924 quarter that was given to me in change at the Camp A. P. Hill Post Exchange in the summer of 1965. Those have been my only memorable finds.
