I can't be absolutely sure until I see a pic of the reverse.

Aha, so we're being silly, then?

OK, fine. In that case, I shall point out that every single nickel ever made is technically a "War Time nickel", since there has been a war going on somewhere at all times, ever since Oog the Caveman decided he didn't like the way his neighbor Gaarg looked, and picked up a rock.

And that was waaay before the invention of nickels.

Therefore nickels and War Time have always coexisted. :)

I want to see the reverse side also.. Only because there were counterfeits made. It can be determined by looking at the back.
    That's why we ask ;)

But I get what you mean.

It might be a good idea if you bought a copy of "A Guide Book of United States Coins" aka "The Red Book". It is published every year and is available online at Whitman Books.

No. Proof coins were not turned out from 1943 through 1949. Last year was 1942 and resumed in 1950.

They're fun. I used to find quite a few in rolls from the bank. It's been a very long time since one turned up in my change, though.

Of course I have had them turn up in other places. :)
