What kind of pennies are these and why are they golden?are they worth anything ?

Well im new so i dont really understand yet maybe u can be a help and explain it lil bit i thought it was askimg me what i think the answer might be what is a poll?

Also, no pennies are made of gold. Some people may plate pennies with gold lol but there is absolutely no point to that. Like spirityoda said, these pennies were probably cleaned.

 

They're golden because they are "golden French fries"!

 

Worth closer to 2¢ for the copper in them.

Here is a gold plated coin my son made in 8th grade along with some normal colored coins for your reference. Hope it helps, Reed.

 

Look like ordinary circulated cents, not pennies, to me.

 

Sometimes I’m an idiot I know, can’t help myself hope the images of those six coins help you see the different color of the 1969S at the bottom right. None of the coins in my image has been cleaned they are fresh out of the wild.

Actually, that's four sentences. And while we appreciate you're new, just so you know, we're used to using periods to separate our sentences. It's just a habit we picked up in grammar school. It helps us to be understood, too, which is another big thing we like about it here.

 

Colors come out much better when you use a white background and remember to set the white balance.

 

You’ll learn about me I’m kinda sloppy if it doesn’t matter. I have been a racer of very fast things for many years and I liked to crash......a lot so I got used to not having fresh shiny new looking stuff.
I forget sometimes to make it “shiny” for others because I don’t care! Here is my last go fast thingy.

 

Shiny doesn't matter as much as actual colors. Those can be close to impossible to reproduce.

 

Thats why when it matters some people use professional photo services for the important images.

Your right it takes some work to get good and some will never get it. Kinda like Grading the lower grade coins AU and down. The MS grades are technical and the Proof grades I have no idea. But the circulated grades can be tough to get your head around because it’s wear vs striking vs % of coin worn off and it’s more touchy-feely for me anyways.

So to make you happy Tuck I’ll work on my lighting skills and find a white background for you Buddy.
