rare dime 1939

    It’s worth two or three dollars.

    It has two different colors because it’s toning.

    Your coin is worth melt value. Not two or 3 dollars. It is worth about a dollar and twenty cents.

    Silver is a very reactive metal. Your coin suffered environmental damage after it left the mint. It is considered damaged, which significantly reduces any numismatic value. It is not rare and, as @NLL has said, only worth silver melt value

    What’s the difference of 80 Cents? 2 or 3 dollars is an accurate representation of its worth.

    Not if you go to a coin dealer and try to sell it. Would you buy it at that price?

    A lot of coin dealers online and at stores sell low grade mercs for $2/2.25 each. I’d buy it if I needed it.

    we usually pay $1 or 10x face as we do with all junk silver
