That's good because there has been plenty of times where I haven't. I still can't believe how often I get shorted on rolls of halves. With those rolls, you can see they are short before you even open them. The shortest roll I've gotten was 16 halves in a roll (and not even with something for filler)

searching two rolls of jeffersons I found:

a canadian nickel (worth more than th US one currently ;))
    a 1942-P War nickel
    a 1952-D
    a 1962-D and
    a 1967

the 67 is a Denver issue, but it has no mintmark <-------- food for thought there

    Sounds like an eBay auction!

Good idea! Say, I'll even throw in a few 1967 Denver and San Francisco minted cents, also without mintmarks!

Question, would one be able to positively ID a reverse die from a 1968D Nickel or Cent, then find a 1967 Nickel or Cent that was minted using the same reverse die?

That would be an awesome project.

I found a VF 1910 s Lincoln cent yesterday in a roll. And in the next roll of pennies I found a 1937 mercury dime, it's toned purple. Cool huh!

I made a fool of myself at the bank yesterday. I went in and asked for $40 in nickels and then the lady gave them to me and i started to walk out and i was counting them in sets of two's so for every $4 i counted it as $2 so i went back and i said this is only $20 and she was like no i gave you two trays of $20 and then i was like crap i messed up. lol. So i got home and opened $8 worth i found 5 pre 60's and a 1952-D to fill a hole. I hope the rest of them are as good as the first 4 rolls!

I got some kind of Proof coin in change today. Its the size of a dime and has the same reverse as a roosevelt dime. But its not Roosevelt on the obverse and it says .999 pure silver on the reverse. Its dated 2005. Does anyone know what it is???

It is not a dime, probably a replica.
However, if it is silver it is a good find.

Well after I don't know how many rolls of halves I finally found a 1968D. Somehow I don't think it will pay for the gas for all trips to the bank but I'm happy.

Don't be too discouraged. You'll soon find some more. There're times when there's just none to be found -- other collectors got to them first. You'll eventually happen upon some.

Or search other denominations for a while. I've been on a cent kick for a while..

went through a box of halves today. One 87 S proof and one 40%. That's about usual for me here in Utah. Does anyone else fine 87 proofs?

here is the story of the day, hold your breath..:secret:
I finally ordered halves from my bank, they say minimum order is 2000 ( I thought coins, but no , dollars)
Guess what i found... nothing. Nothing at all, out of 4000 coins. :headbang: A few ms63-65 1997 halves, not really what I wanted. Boxes were sealed in july of 2007. Oh well
