What is your Estimated Grade for this Indian Head Penny?

    In my opinion, it looks like a VF with full LIBERTY and most of the headband intact. If it were cleaned, I don't know why there would be so much dirt around and in the devices. It appears bright because of the light reflecting directly off of it. I suspect it is a proper, nice chocolate brown in hand. Impossible to know without better photos or seeing it in hand.

    It's hard to clean in those spots. That stuff might be on for good, I don't know. But the surface was rubbed hard on that coin.

    Do you see how the fields are lifeless yet clean as a whistle? That's how they look when they're hard-rubbed, with the junk remaining behind in the crevases.
