@Maes daughter By the way.. I do see something interesting on your Cent. Looks like you have a High Pressure strike error. I can see a slight Finned Rim to the left of your Cent. Cool stuff!
I looked at the 1969 closeup picture.. I do see some slight doubling. But not enough for me to determine what's going on.
I cannot tell from your pics if your coin has minor doubling, machine doubling, or nothing at all. I can say for certain that you DO NOT have the valuable doubled die. You may want to check the following sites to see if your coin matches up with any known examples. http://doubleddie.com/ http://www.varietyvista.com/ Since you need good magnification to see many of these, they only carry minor premiums at best, unless it is a variety listed in The Cherry Pickers Guide. Cool to collect if that’s your interest, but don’t expect to get rich. BTW: If you’ve spent any time on CT, you should know that Paddyman98 is someone who goes out of his way to help new collectors. Posts about the 69-SI have no doubt that his post was supposed to elicit a chuckle from the rest of us and not to make fun of someone
They're just different dies, Paddy, if they indeed originated on the die and not in the strike. Figure a die for a million coins. Here, this is good on the die-making process: http://varietyerrors.com/coin-dies-made-little-history/.
