I had my series 7 license for 4 years. Any transaction we made on behalf of a client had to be justifiable. If something got flagged I had to sit in with our compliance officer and explain why the transaction was justified. If someone got caught churning an account...see ya later. Many brokers are good salespeople however, they can churn and churn and churn and get permission to do so because their clients think they're looking out for them and being strategic.
Lol naw nothing left to say there. Just found it funny he told someone else that after the other posts
If anyone wants to know about "scams" in coins, simply go to ANY big show, spend about 90 seconds, and you WILL be able to find a MS/PF69 coin that is PLAINLY superior to a MS/PF70 of the exact same issue from the exact same grading service. QED. Reason? The variability WITHIN those grades is LARGER than the difference between them. See? It's NOT a conspiracy; it's just dumb.
THE RULES Like other posters on this thread you must not read things BEFORE YOU POST either. Here let me help you: 2 – Personal attacks are not permitted. All Coin Talk members, young, old and in between, will treat all other members with respect and be civil at all times. You are expected to act as responsible individuals, there will be no name calling or flame wars. If these rules are confusing then jump on a tread and will help ya understand them better. Hope this helps, Reed.
My lawyer once told me that my style of communicating makes people want to root against me, that I have the style in writing and speaking that the words "..., you moron." are implied at the end of what I say. My reaction was to ask, "Should I just start SAYING IT THEN?" I never want to be ambiguous.
I say it all the time in person I just don’t post it much as it’s a little inflammatory or should I say incendiary.
Your learned counsel might have had a point, there, Kurt. But then, you know how thin skinned some people are. Personally, when it's directed at me, I don't see what all the big fuss is about. I know I'm not a Mormon, I'm a Catholic. Yeah, a Catholic horse! You never saw one of those?
Not, necessarily calling out . Just stating the obvious, as defined : the state or fact of being ignorant: lack of knowledge, education, or awareness. If there are some sore feelings toward my comment then it should have been thought of before posting such egregious comments on such a subject.
I would go with eye appeal. At this point in the world of Numismatics the Beans hold significant Value. They are a second professional opinion, meant to adjust the market value for a superior coin.
I've always found + graded coins interesting. I'm sort of a sucker for them. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing? A CAC sticker is a CAC sticker. Sure, a gold one is fairly rare and sought after. A green one is good, especially if you are looking to possibly resale your coin some day. They do not automatically mean your coin is gonna grade up. But it possibly could? It just really depends on the overall quality of the coin.
