The darker coins suffered environmental damage after they left the mint. The 71-D looks like a metal detector find. Search the older posts and you will see numerous pics of metal detector finds that look just like this.
V. Kurt Bellman, posted: That's what I say. What's the stinking difference? HEY! Weren't you ever taught that if you cannot say something nice ? Very few people are a numismatic genius as you. Ditto: CoinCorgi. IMO, Both of you need to be reported; however I won't do it as I enjoy snarky posts!
@Insider . Could you had some color highlights to your posts please? I can't figure out what you are trying to say unless you use colors. Dogs are colorblind though so I am not sure why that is so.
... and PLEASE don't try to tell me this is the first time you've noticed coins with different looks to them. Because if it is, wow. I know I'm intrigued about why the one below the wood thing is trying to escape.
@Kerra let me say welcome to CT. It would seem you have now met the board of directors of the grumpy old man club let me introduce the chairman of the board: @Insider. Lol. Reed.
@V. Kurt Bellman You remember stalag 13 they had the tunnel under the stove? That’s how George got there he is trying to escape....Shhh.......
V. Kurt Bellman, continued to humiliate our new (& novice?) female member: "... and PLEASE don't try to tell me this is the first time you've noticed coins with different looks to them. Because if it is, wow." REPORTED!
Yes! Welcome to the neighborhood @Kerra ! Unfortunately, Bellman and Corgi are still upset because they didn't get bit parts in the movie. Chris
Unaware you had been appointed to the State Department as a Diplomacy Protocol Officer. Are we SERIOUSLY the only step between complete lack of awareness about ANYTHING about coins and the depths of the hobby?!?! Shouldn't there be SOME additional expectation!??!
Sounds like Bellmans bit parts might be getting pinched a wee bit and I expect him to squeal a mite. Oops to late.
