They lose money spending their time with stickers and on the phone with collectors discussing their coins which they will do. They make their money buying and selling coins that they have stickered putting their money where their mouth is. They don't even charge collector members for coins that don't sticker. You do realize the founder of CAC helped found PCGS and NGC as well and runs a nonprofit that helps collectors get their money back for being scammed. You're completely off base with the CAC operation. There are other stickering companies out there doing what you are describing but that is not what CAC is doing at all.
You have much to learn, Bud, I'd say the one with blinders on is you. I'd also bet you think they give every coin a Bean? Wrong!
Ain't "diversity of opinion" grand? We have conspiracy theorists and slabbing and stickering company sycophants right here together on one thread. Okay, all together now: "Kum Bay Yahhhhhh, my Lord......" Econ 101. If they survive, it's because SOMEBODY thinks what they do is worth paying for.
The coolest thing is that there's no rule that says that "somebody" needs to be me or you! It's almost like freedom!
IT’S CALLED MARKETING and they caught you real good. Don’t thrash around and it won’t hurt so much. The more you type the more you will realize I’m right, keep typing. Here is your next clue and you stated it NON FROFIT. that’s were the money comes from. Non profits generally make huge money for the people running them. Example, the tiny little non profit called World Vision international pays their systems analyst $107,000.00 per year plus 20% bonus. Point here is that non profit usually means big money. You really don’t think that the millionaires that own and run CAC aren’t going to take huge profits from somewhere if they can? And I can’t see how they can’t make HUGE profits installing hundreds of little stickers a day at $13.50 a pop minimum charge. Were is the loss to take place? If they loose money on that business model then nothing will make them money! They should just sell it to me for A dollar then I’ll roll out the platinum bean and rake in the profits
I really don't think you understand what you are talking about. CAC provides a service that many collectors find very valuable. Some individual collectors may not find their service helpful...but enough do where they have a good market. Just because you don't find their service valuable doesn't make them some kind of scam.
I Isn't CAC fairly exclusive? I had some certified coins I considered sending to them but membership was closed.
