Love this guy's disclaimer...if you know anything about coins, don't respond!!! https://ventura.craigslist.org/clt/d/rare-coins/6429226121.html
I remember once responding to a Craigslist ad and asked if we could meet at the local police station. He replied, "Sorry, I just sold it." Chris
Just as every other schmo wishing to burn the next guy rushes off to Craigslist, every other schmo who just picked up their first red book and wants to play expert rushes off to.... Craigslist. it's a two-way street, folks...
That's what I thought, but these I know from nothing... I have bought coins from 3 people on Craigslist. One that was really kind of sketchy was a couple of silver dollars. One was a guy moving and had LOTS of recent proof sets, but also had some Disney 1 ounce silvers he was asking $15 for and one was a retired guy who had Whitman albums with cents and nickels...you gotta kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince.
Ain't that the truth... There was a time, though, when Craigslist was actually a very productive venue, at least for me. Unfortunately, as it became more popular, the shysters on both sides completely ruined it. Oddly enough, they didn't show en masse until after silver took the plunge from the high 40's, at least in my area. Everything from the knowledgeable looking to rip the newbies playing "dealer", to the newbies wishing to rip everyone off, to those fishing for a sucker and everything in between.
The only thing worth looking at is the gold Indian, and it's likely a fake anyway! Everything else combined is worth about $2.
