I came across a low run of a star note recently and was tempted to get it graded, but had a question as there is ink pen writing on the back, just enough to tell me it's not worth it. Is that the case anytime there is writing on A note or will they still graded if it's a rare note? Thank you very much

Saving it for my daughters and wondered if would get greater premium in 50 years from now if graded. It's from 1969 and shortest star note run for that year

Many courtesy autographed notes are graded, but a random notation on a graded note typically will come back with a NET or APPARENT grade with a comment like “annotation” .

Do you think getting it graded will increase the value enough that you will make back the money you spend on grading? If not, then you should not get it graded. Also, star notes are only worth added value if you can find someone willing to pay more for it. Judging from the condition of the note (writing on back), it would likely not be worth getting graded so I would just hold onto it if I were you.

Just put it in a 10 cent mylar holder. (Or whatever those plastic currency holders are made of.)

Best to steer clear of notes with any type of markings, graffiti, rips or other substantial distractions, value is significantly affected when you go to resale,
Unless this is a must have for your collection, it,s best just to move on, just
    My two cents...LOL
