So here are two that I do have LOL One other point the year of the Rat has been renamed 'Year of the Mouse'!! so as not to offend some people :headbang:

Great collection DO. I'm a big fan of the lunar series. I also have all the 1oz silver series I and all but 2 of the gold series 1 oz coins (well, other than the dog proof - too much $, though it is a different design so I guess that would be 3).

I still haven't decided whether or not I will collect the lunar II series. Are you?

While on this topic, I've read many sites that said the perth mint would release the final mintages of the series this fall. Have you heard anything about the final mintages?

    Thanks

Love the Lunar series. I've been trying to put together a complete Dog set, both silver and gold (uncirculated) -- but then found out it's about as close to impossible as there is, for me to do...

They've evidently minted Gold 1oz, 2oz, 10oz, and Kilo coins (in addition to the fractionals). Don't think I'll ever get to the point where a Kilo of gold will be even a remote consideration (unless I somehow steal that Gold Star from a kid on Kid Nation...)...

Are you also including the proof version of the dog? Why did they have to change the design of the proof dog than the bullion dog. argggg.

Nope, just the uncirculated versions, nor am I a huge fan of paying double spot for such a coin..

And hey, it helps that I'm not the biggest Chow person.. :)

Im sticking with the basic 1oz design in Unc after that it can start to get rather silly price wise.

Last I heard they were still taking orders for all the dates, so I wouldn't expect final mintage figures anytime soon.

    Diameter of Lunar Series II

    Hi Everyone,

Just got my Year of the Mouse coin and I love it!!! I did notice that the coin has a larger diameter. Does anyone know what the diameter is? I'm trying to see if I can find a holder for the coin. I don't like the one that it was sent in. I usually use Air Tite Direct Fit Holders and wanted to see if I can find one.

    Thanks!!!

The 2009 Kookaburra coin is nice. I think that's my favorite coin in the whole series.
