1946 S/D wheat penny error?

    I got this 1946 penny and I looked at the mint mark and thought it looked funny. It could be the S/D or D/S error. What do you guys think this might be?

    It's a S Mint Mark with damage. It took a hit.

    I'm glad that paddy's eyes are good enough to see it. I can't tell a thing from those images.

    It did enlarge Chris after clicking on the first time. "Strange looking bird" for sure. But I have to agree with paddy. If it ever "was" a D/S is has long since been obliterated.
