Have this dime tucked away and not sure where. Took 2 pics before put away. Did not dare post before as it might be a stupid question and gosh darn, a stupid comment to my asking.

Is this a struck through, lamination ,or PMD? No pic of the obverse. A 65-69 date. CRS strike through 1.jpg strike through 2.jpg strike through 1.jpg strike through 2.jpg strike through 1.jpg strike through 2.jpg Not a poll. Just asking.

Whatever it is, in my opinion it's too clean to be PMD. Struck through an object, maybe?

It looks like a strike-through. Is it raised from the coin, or an indentation? Hard to tell - kind of an optical illusion.

I'm thinking it's damage. It looks like moved metal.

IMO it's an inclusion or damaged die.

Why are we able to see the top part of the D through the object?
It could be glue. Try acetone and see if it goes away.

Looks like a strike through a piece of stray metal to me..

I will try to find it and take another look. Just no evidence of glue that I could see in hand.

Moved from where? It may have some wear but no surrounding damage. Thanks for your thoughts though. Time for me to find and examine again.

The area that's on the torch looks concave. I believe that metal was pushed downwards.

Something else has me wondering. On a struck through, I figured it would be smashed slush into the surfaces of the field and devices.

I don't know. Have been perplexed by it for some time. It does not appear to me in hand as PMD.

Have you put acetone on it yet?

Based on the photos, I'd say
    it's a struck thru.

Unless that area is raised on the
coin (because to me, it looks like
    a depression), it's a S/T, imo.

No I have not and I still have not looked for/ located it. CRS stinks. I do have an idea of where I may have placed it but of course most of my ideas are usually wrong :inpain:.

Thank you Fred and all for your thoughts, opinions, responses. Will give a look for it in the next couple of weeks. Of course, not a chance I could take a better pic but could at least do full front and back.
