I'd like some opinions of this coin. I need all info that can tell me if this coin is doubled possibly or any other error. I was told that it was but I can't find anything. So, I'm bringing it to you. I am getting close ups and will post them shortly. Yes it has been cleaned, which hurts , but nothing can be done about it now. Thanks, Duane
Honestly, your photos are too small in size to determine. It looks like you zoomed in to take these shots, thus reducing the pixel count. Do you have a 10x loupe? If so, stick that baby in front of your phone lens and snap another photo without digitally zooming in.
Since the loupe has come up in this discussion, I would be interested in getting a recommendation on a few of the better ones available. There must be hundreds of them at Amazon!
Look at the S in president and he has s cut on his nose and a die crack going from his beard by his mouth towards the 8 in 1881. The second 8.
I don't see any doubling, but you're not going to be able to see it with those pictures. There is one DDR listed for Hayes. These don't really carry a premium, however. In your case, I see a heavily polished dollar. It's worth a dollar. Spend it.
Then look at liberty, does she have a man standing in her left arm looking over and maybe wearing a hat?
I see a lot of scratches from a heavy polish. I don't see any die cracks, and I don't see any doubling. Not sure what you're smoking, but pass it around!
Oh boy... I'm sorry but I'm staying away from this one. Once a person starts seeing imaginary things.. it gets a little weird
LOL. There is ,I think a die crack but it is fine or maybe I did smoke too much. But then his nose looks doubled. You have to look closely,
What exactly would you be using it for? Variety searching/attribution, general grading purposes, etc, etc. Generally speaking, if something you'll be using regularly, you'd be wise to spend up on one of quality. Both Zeiss and Eschenbach, while costly, offer many different options as well as high quality glass.
OK my man, I'll take your advice I'll Chuck it tomorrow. At least I had a fun time checking into it. I could have sworn I had something though.
LOL, are you kidding me?? That's what looking into coins is all about having a good time failing and then one day,,,BOOM!!!!!? You hit a nice one.
Hey. Don't laugh at least I bring enjoyment. My sister just left for the store and I gave it to her. Get me some gum. LOL
It's called pareidolia and is perfectly normal. Have you ever been graced by the appearance of Jesus, Muhammad, or perhaps Jerry Garcia in the clouds or upon your morning toast? Sometimes they appear on coins as well, along with however many other things our minds can dream up....
