I think I would have left the wife photo out. My wife would kill me if I posted that;)

    Daughter. :)

(I deleted three others, and she picked up my phone and forwarded that photo to her own phone to presumably share on social media, so I *think* she's OK with it.) ;)

Thank you so much, Secret Santa. Your generosity is truly appreciated more than I can say.

1941 Canada 10c AU58 - The toning on this is just gorgeous, complete with a subtle rainbow over the reverse ship. I can't wait to experiment photographing this one more. Wow!
    IMG_6505.JPG IMG_6514.JPG

1870 Belgium 2 Cent MS65 BR - Fantastic design and I especially love the reverse!
    IMG_6527.JPG IMG_6529.JPG

1871 German State - Baden 3 Kreuzer, 1855 Baden 6 Kreuzer, 1964-B Swiss Franc MS beauty with gorgeous reverse toning. These are amazing and I'm really looking forward to learning their history.

And lastly, these awesome cases they came in..... I will put these to good use to transport coins to and from the dealer!

Again, I'm so very grateful. Thank you again. Hope my Santa and all of you have a blessed and safe Christmas!

@Kasia, these photographs look very good to me!

If you want feedback on how the coins in your new photographs are coming across, then, to me, they seem very clear and easy to distinguish. The lighting looks good. Looking at your photos is easy on my poor eyes about which, after reading your vision challenges, I intend not to complain again.

I've been nearsighted since I was a child and have had to wear glasses since I was nine years old. What is really strange is that until I got a new lens and it gives me near perfect vision in one eye, I never have realized that people actually could "see" fairly well in the dark. My memories for things are few and far between before I was 9 or 10 and that was not one of them. I always had vision that without glasses on made it seem like any time without lights on or at night was near impossible to see anything. Now I can get up at night and close the one nearsighted eye and actually see things as I make my way in a darkened home or outside in little light. A real eye-opener as it were.

I know next year I have to step up my game.
Santa brought me some unfamiliar stuff.

    20171224_163151.jpg
    Some bank notes from Budapest:
    1936 Tiz Pengo
    1941 Husz Pengo
    1945 Szazezer Pengo
    1946 Egymilliard Milpengo
    1915 1 Korona - minted 1 year prior to Ferrencz Jozef's death

And a purdy toned 1989 ASE

The pics are quick cell phone jobs, it's a cold overcast day outside. Would love to show the nice rainbow tone on the ASE but this was the best I could do today.

    THANK YOU SECRET SANTA.
I was missing the 89 ASE, almost bought one a couple months ago.
The Hungarian, well it opens another door for me.

    Nice design work.
These now double my currency collection, as I only had a few (5-6) U.S currency.
I looked at these when I opened them and it made me think that I wished I'd kept all the world currency I had from years ago from when I was in the military. There is some truely lovely currency out there.

Thank you Secret Santa for my first World coin sets. A 1983, 1984, and 1985 British Royal Mint set. A very nice surprise and I am very happy. I am pretty sure I know my Secret Santa, but will keep it to myself! IMG_0587.JPG IMG_0588.JPG IMG_0589.JPG IMG_0590.JPG

    Here is my loot.

Many thanks to my Secret Santa, whose identity remains a mystery to me (eastern Tennessee ZIP code notwithstanding).

He or she obviously did some homework regarding my numismatic tastes.

First, there was a CircCam 1900-O Morgan dollar for my new casual sideline collection, for which i had recently gotten a Dansco #7172 album. Lament not, Secret Santa, for the coin you sent was not only one my album lacked, but was the very first Morgan I acquired for it! I had gotten cold feet and decided not to pursue this sideline after all, but then I got this coin from you so that's changed my mind. Looks like I will now actually play with Morgan dollars for a little while after all, albeit in the circulated grades, with a very specific look. So my Secret Santa actually influenced my collecting habits. I'll unwrap the new album today and put that coin in there, along with some Ikes I got in a swap from @MontCollector. (The Dansco 7172 is a one-a-year date collection which covers Morgan's through SBAs.)

The next coin was a cent with a cutout of the Georgia State outline (my state).

Last is the item which impresses me most. It is a love token on an 1876 dime with a monogram of my "RS" initials! Nailing down a specific name or set of initials on a love token is not easy. It takes a lot of hunting! My S.S. seems to have bought this one from ACSB, who I know from experience have a large and nice selection but rather precipitous pricing. I only hope S.S. did not spend too much! (No slights against ACSB- they're fine to deal with aside from the stiff prices.)

Ironically, I had also recently decided to purge my love tokens (to feed my primary Eclectic Box collection), but a love token with my initials is never redundant and is a keeper, regardless. (I also have one with all three of my initials in sequence, which defies some longish mathematical odds.)

Santa was very generous to me and must have deduced that I love all things silver!

I received a 1 oz. 2018 Australian Kookaburra and a 1 oz. very cool art round - Ariel the Fairy by Josh Ranger.

    Thanks Santa!

Well, the appointed time arrived and I was able to open my gift. Thank you very much Santa for the 1881-O and graded 1885-O Morgan dollars. You were really too generous friend, I shall have to find the VAMs and add them to my collection.

My gift actually came through eBay, and after I checked my account to make sure it wasn't sent on accident, I immediately knew who my SS was. I won't say who it was, but they know that I recently acquired some old German States coins and am in the process of organizing, cataloging, and properly storing them. This one has a C mint mark, which from 1866-1879 is a Frankfurt mint. (reference: http://coinauctionshelp.com/WorldCoins/wordpress/2009/07/04/german-mints-and-mint-marks/). I have a particular fondness for Frankfurt, as I've got friends there and have visited the city several times (once for a coin show). This is a great addition to my collection. I'm afraid I'm away from my collection at the moment, and didn't do my diligence in snapping proper photos, so here's the photo I took in hand of the obverse and then photos from the seller. It's a little darker in hand, but it sure is a beautiful RB coin and a great addition to my collection. Thank you SS!

That's awesome. I looked to see if there was a TrueView image on the cert verification page, since that one has The Secure Plus shield label and TrueViews come with Secure Plus now. But it showed a full-slab photo, so apparently that one was graded at PCGS Europe in Paris.

Then comes an assortment of US and foreign coins. I’ll have to do some research on the overseas issues.

Usually I have my kids open my CT SS gift but I cannot get them to budge from playing their new Nintendo switch. So I opened the gift myself this year and I received some very nice items and a heartfelt note from my SS. Besides the coins also got some 2x2's which we all know you can never have enough of. And of course the cent tube which ironically I needed one as we've been saving every 2017 P cent we can find and I was just putting them in my desk drawer as I didn't have an empty tube available so my SS must also be a psychic. Thank you very much CT SS I hope you and every other CT member also have a very Merry Christmas.

I was very fortunate this year in that my Santa was very generous going well beyond the suggested $15. For many reasons there wasn’t very much under the tree this year, and I really looked forward to my Secret Santa gift.

Thank you so much, you know who you are, (I might have an idea), you really made my day with your generosity.

Thank you also to Kirk for running it again this year. I had more fun this year than ever, I’m glad that I came back.
