I saw a response from a MODERATOR the other day that stated you can post negative comments about the coin but to NOT belittle the members. This comment was fully within guidelines and BTW I agree this is a tacky coin sorry just OUR opinions
    Sincerely,
    Reed

    Merry Christmas to all.
I thought that I would post a few pics of colorized pieces with an animal theme for the holidays. (reverse only)

Uh, I assume this French plate would not be called a "coin", but wait... it does have a denomination of 5000 Euro, so it fits the definition provided by Johndoe2000$ above. Guess it is a coin then. Here is one from Belgium with an odd obverse, kind of modern art?

That is king Baudouin/Boudewijn; I have always liked the design but others did not. :) His successors Albert and now Philippe/Filip went back to somewhat traditional portraits. In the Netherlands, king Willem-Alexander looks interesting though. Image of the 10 and 50 ct design (from Wikipedia) below ...

This one is unusual and I have no idea what it is.
About 13mm diameter, non magnetic, looks like copper, weight negligible. Reverse appears to be blank. Came with a batch of zink war time coins mostly from Bohemia and Moravia. Unknown obv.JPG Unkonwn rev.JPG

Are those metal or more like guitar picks. I'll keep my eyes open for those while roll searching.

Very much like guitar picks. Says they are "composite" which I think translates to fiberglass. I ordered them from Russia.

Ah, I have that set too. :) Interestingly, three of the four portraits - Alexander Suvorov, Pyotr Rumyantsev and Catherine II - can also be found on the banknotes. Only François Sainte de Wollant (3 rubles) is new so to say ...
