1980 d RPM?

    I see the hit on the southeast part of the "D", but would the hit be hard enough to
    move the "D" to the east so that part of the original position of the mark is visible.
    Or, what caused the mintmark to appear "doubled" to SeakerxofxTruth and myself?


    We have an "aye" problem.

    Better image here. Looks to me like the D took at least three separate impacts. None of these three impacts look to me like they have caused what looks like die deterioration doubling on the west side of the D. So I call it DDD.
