I guess im not doing a good job trying to fit in to coin talk. I really like this site and check it daily. My problem is im just trying to really add things i mostly know little about. But i want to be one of the gang. Im not doing to well. Say stuff to say stuff. The problem is. Some of the guys i respect the most. I mess up with. Damn big hole i dug. Not a big spender and give all my finds away. But just trying to fit in cuz coin talk is my me time. Im so sorry if me trying to just join in. That offended anyone. You members seem to be the most polite. KENTUCKY!!!! I dont want to be any different. So ill try harder to fit in. And watch and add in when i can be civil. Is this lame. Cuz i feel like im a train wreak. Happy hoildays. My apologies go out to all. CHEECH

Holidays can bring many emotions, some very good and some very bad, so all of us have some reaction. The thing which can be easier than others is to increase your knowledge on what you wish to know. No one knows it all, that is why forums or groups, clubs can bring different knowledge and outlook to any get together , on a forum like this or in person. If you are interested in variety coins, investigate the 1972 Double die obverses, a series of coins still can be found ( well except for the die #1 that almost a sight hindered person can see) but the other 9 main ones can be found in circulation. Or suggest your interests and probably some old pros can find you something to chew on. Jim

anyone can fit in here. This CT site means a lot to me. I come here to share my coins, talk about coins, learn a lot about all kinds of coins, view other people amazing coins. Coins can be a life long hobby for most of us. The learning part is forever. there is no problem asking questions about coins. there are many here that saying "this might be a stupid question"... if you don't ask you might never know the answer. ask. I have been collecting coins for 19 years now... and there's so much to learn still. I have a real passion for coins. I escape in them. lol true story. I like learning about other peoples coins too. in time you will have the experience with coins. stick around enjoy CoinTalk. you learn as you go.

It's an anonymous forum so crap happens. Continue to add your relevant comments and let them stand on their merits. Don't be cocky or snarky unless you can back it up. A few can, most can't. Keep learning and you'll dig yourself out of the hole

We all make mistakes because we're all human. Anyone who says they have never made a mistake isn't being honest. Don't let it get you down. Disagreeing with someone is expected. Being mad at someone is human nature, but holding a grudge is something nobody, and I do mean nobody, should ever want to do.

I remember that my ex-wife always wanted me to do things her way. So, I tried to change to make her happy. It didn't work. So, we got a divorce and I went back to being me, and I'm happier for it. Just be yourself, and people will respect you for it. However, if the time ever comes when your shoe somehow got stuck in your mouth, don't be afraid to admit you were wrong and just move on.

    Best wishes for the holidays!

    Chris

Cheech, you have never offended me. I am a nobody anyways.

Your attitude is better then being a tattle tell. Be careful, they are out there. :)

You don't know the times I managed to go off the edge here. Sometimes it is a battle not to post things because I find them funny at the time, because part of my brain is trying to tell me that I know others won't find it funny or will take it wrong.

Hey Cheech? I say you fit in here just fine. And while I can be offensive at times, I've never seen anything offensive about what you post. Happy Holidays (and the answer is still No devil.gif ).

@Cheech9712 I cannot remember you saying or doing anything that I would find wrong. Today I turned 63, so this means I have been at this hobby for 51 years and I surely do not know it all, only a small fraction of what I need to know, but am always learning here. There's a lot of humorous banter here that is easily defined as fun. Get to know who the snarky folks are and simply avoid the urge to respond and then go to the next comment that adds value to your posts. Time and persistence will pay you off in great ways. Find your collecting niche and pursue it with an unbridled passion. Once you have learned one subject well enough to be comfortable then move on to the next. But just try to never "lose it" in any conversation as once words are spoken they become hard to take back. Most of all, just have fun with your hobby, that's what it's really all about. And have a Merry Christmas and fun, prosperous, and healthy New Year.

Not sure if you were referencing me @Cheech9712 but I have posted wrong stuff and been corrected by more knowledgeable members and have managed to get myself in trouble by being snarky (for which I have apologized and am sure will apologize in the future). Please hang with us.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Folks here get over the past really quick. We have all picked the wrong words from time to time. I know, I have. You picked a great site for learning. Have fun with it.
