Got this today in change. It is naked eye visible. Just thought I'd share. I thought it' kinda unique. It also has a smaller die chip on the opposite side of the building. This is the first 17 nickel I've found in circulation. Dont forget to hit that like button!!!!
I hate to tell you this, but your coin is a Jefferson nickel and that is Monticello on the reverse. It's only worth one-half a Like, but they don't have a button for it. Chris
@steve.e was talking about the Lincoln Cent Memorial Building with the Die breaks that are known as Hornets Nests. So he is comparing his new Monticello discovery to the Cent. I know you have seen these
Ok @paddyman98 I’ll cover this again more slowly. 1. Hornets only nest in the Lincoln Memorial. 2. Honey bees only swarm on Monticello. The two sides NEVER cross over. Period. Sincerely, Reed P.s. Wasps nest in the ground so either building’s grounds are susceptible to invasion from them.
Yellow jackets nest underground. Wasps nest are just little things in the corner of your awning. BUZZ BUZZ. could this be my first post to make 2 pages? BUZZ BUZZ!!!!!!!!!!
Yellowjacket or Yellow jacket is the common name in North America for predatory social wasps of the genera Vespula and Dolichovespula. Members of these genera are known simply as "wasps" in other English-speaking countries. Wikipedia They live under ground in the PNW Reed
The two primary apian species here are Hornets and Honey Bees. I feel that it’s better for the tread if we both concede on the question of the Wasp and just enjoy the others. Sincerely, Reed. Buzz buzz
I'm sorry. This is a picture of what I always considered a wasps nest. Did not know yellow jackets were wasps. Thanks for the lesson. I come here to learn it doesn't have to be coins all the time. Peace.
