Have many more to share, that,s just a small sample have the complete Series 681 and currently atop the PCGS registry all are top.s in there grade, the 69PPQ $10 note and the $20 in 68PPQ are Top pops (population of 1)
Very, very nice. I have recently "found" an interest in MPC's. It's not a great local market, so it'll be harder to do than standard coins. This is not a big military area.
I think you will find the national market strong have been collecting and dealing in Military payment certificates for over 18 Years. the last 15 in graded examples what Got me hooked was the art work, its just amazing, let me know if I you need some advice on these
Was looking at old threads and ran across this. I've seen just the picture somewhere before just can't remember where. First time I've seen the info that was used when the photo was used/published. I will assume they were series #661 that was issued from 10/21/68 and withdrawn 8/11/69. B********B notes. Love the $10 note.
Since only the date of the burning is given, we can only assume the series that was Getting destroyed may have been just one or a combination as not much information was given, the $10,s from both the Series 661 and 681 are highly prized But its pretty Ironic that out of all the MPC produced only the Series 681 depicts the Branches of military service, to me that,s really amazing.
Speaking of that heres my Series 661 $10 Example in PCGS 67PPQ these notes have Become very pricey over the years only two 68,s and four 67,s exist and can command upwards of $4,000
I always thought your 80,000 post would contain the two words 'doubled die'; along with the 79,999 previous posts.
Well Paddyman has me jealous of his collection so far.... I don't own not even ONE of those Training MPCs. And excellent Brazilian note made by the incredible ABNC.
I have seen the 25 Cent ( Navy Version ) but not the other two, i can only assume They are from the same set ? they would be for sure be a plus to go with my set Of MPC,S
