    Sometimes numbers can be hit by other coins during the minting process, thereby slightly gouging or otherwise damaging the number.

    I agree.. PMD - Post Mint Damage. The 3 took a hit :yack:

    Think about it carefully.. How can a 3 be put over a 5? A 1973 was minted 2 years before 1975 o_O
