That'll be enough. Whatever swick did is none of our business. Fair warning - I will not tolerate any further comments.

    Cody:
You have received some wonderful offers here.
Now, it is up to you.
In addition, you should promise not to get into any more debt -- for a long time.
At least until you have a job, and even then be careful.

Not even we can talk about it anymore, Big Brother will shut us down as well. I think whatever happens from the generous users on here should be dealt with privately through PMs and this thread locked or deleted.

You can talk the primary subject if you wish, but there will be no more personal attacks - period. Or you - and that means anybody - will suffer the consequences.

    Cody,

I know I came down a bit hard on you myself but only for your own good. You know, the whole debt thing basically. WAS glad to hear that it was people you knew well though.
Erase the debt and get on with it. Thinking you may have learned a valuable lesson after this and realized you have a lot of friends.

Am I contributing to the "Cody fund" so graciously mentioned by AZJack?

Nope, wife's been out of work for 8 months and finally working again. Got to recoup the "clembo fund" first.

People said things that may have been out of line as it were. However, we all have opinions. You're smart enough to know that.

    Good luck dude!

I think it ought to be deleted now since ebay has probably been made aware of this thread. They will read that both buyer and seller are minors and could very well suspend their accounts indefinately.

The thread will stay. Whatever they got themselevs into they did on their own. They need to learn that actions carry responsibilty.

Who here know's what swick reported but swick? Regardless of what he said, Ebay is Ebay, this Forum, our opinion's and comments, think about it.

The problem codydude has gotten himself into maybe not of his own doing has been resolved by member's of this Forum. It's between Codydude and the buyer now.

    Dear m-i-d-w-e-s-t-n-u-m-i-s-m-a-t-i-c-s,

I signed up with Coin Facts today and will post our emails leading up to this. I do not have the dime back from pcgs I sent it in on my Dads account on economy. I waited to send it in because you said you were busy and would think of something. I checked the email from pcgs and it showed the dime as fb cleaned. We thought they used the fb designation for ms coins but I am not sure. I did contact - m-i-d-w-e-s-t-n-u-m-i-s-m-a-t-i-c-s and let him know they did not think it was proof and I should return it or have it graded and this was the responce I received . Sept 17 2007
    (- m-i-d-w-e-s-t-n-u-m-i-s-m-a-t-i-c-s
Im sorry, but i have chaecked with many other dealers, and they have all told me its a proof, i am really busy this week, but ill figure somthing out. )
    Dear m-i-d-w-e-s-t-n-u-m-i-s-m-a-t-i-c-s,
Sept. 20 2007 Have you figured any thing out yet? I can
send it to PCGS but if its not proof or ungradeable I would like to get a refund on the coin & charges for trying to get it graded. Thanks,Dan
I am not a minor and was not aware of Codys age until I read it in this forum. It took a little while to find & register with this forum. I have to say I am impressed by most of the members on it. I had anouther Ebayer email me
(I buy and sell more 1936-1942proof material than anyone in the country. I and at least one other feel almost positive this 1936 dime is NOT a proof. I even offer the Guy $1000 if he sent it to Ngc or Pcgs and it came back in any grade certified as real.
Wonder why he didnt take me up.
Suggest you send coin in. Lots of Luck )
I waited about anouther 10 days for - m-i-d-w-e-s-t-n-u-m-i-s-m-a-t-i-c-s to respond and had my Dad send the coin in on economy since it probably wasn't proof so it took a while for them to get back with me. I was supprised that the coin is coming back as cleaned with all of the toning on it. I do not have the coin back from Pcgs yet but I should have it back shortly. Dan
(my Dad has a collectors club account to send coins in to Pcgs)

Anouther Ebayer emailed me after I purchased the dime. Whats in the brackets is copied and pasted from the original Email.

    Cody,

If you feel so inclined, and with the generous offers here within the community I would, offer the refund once you receive the coin back in hand. Just make sure it is sent with signature confirmation at a minimum to you.

But if the coin isn't back form PCGS yet, I may have misread that, no one knows what they said right?

All I have right now is the Email from Pcgs. I think they should have the coin mailed back shortly. I will send a copy of the paper that Pcgs sends with the coin when I send it back. I will send it back w/ signature confimation or probably insured.

Well a happy ending it seems.

I hope a lesson was learned, and I was really happy to see the community come together to help one of it's own.

As an experienced Ebayer, I find it good practise not to sell over your head in experience for sure ( look at my costly mistake ) and then to always have backup cash and NEVER spend the money untill you and buyer are BOTH happy with transaction.

Oh yeah...cody, you might want to scratch that "Wannabee" thingy from your profile, LOL....j/k heh heh heh ( best Beavis voice)
