Posted the sellers photos last week which were stock. Got it in yesterday and figured I'd show the real thing. Beautiful package and bar, well done. Mintage of 5,000 bars and each are numbered. The one shown is 0495 and I have another marked 0122. I like the cactus and the way the coin blends in with the bar, which is a reverse proof.
Got this Friday, one of few ancients that I’ve bought lately 3rd c BC INDIA MAURYAN EMPIRE 3 gr. R. B. White hood, plate L,”centennial publication of the Am. Numismatic society 1958, page 699.
Couple new pickups also posted in the gold thread but have them in hand today so these are my images as I continue to practice. I consider this one an AU64, has nicer color and shine than any gold 62 I've seen and semi-PL surfaces makes for a really eye appealing 58.
I'm not the greatest at spotting wear but i think the luster not flowing thru the fields (pl or not) is gonna keep this one a nice 58 forever. Maybe I'll send to CAC but odds are decent a coin looking like this has been there by now. Maybe not tho and worth learning a bit from JA about an interesting coin
