No idea what it is worth in that condition but what appeals to me is that it has to be one of the earliest FRNs ever printed. The Fed was not created until the year before.

@sakata Yea the condition is pretty bad but with what you said I did not even know that, that is pretty dang interesting.

    Have you received it yet?
I would wait until I take possession to make this post.
Sellers cancel sales they are disappointed with
and claim there was an honest mistake.

Nice note. I would be happy with it at that price.

It looks like the seller does mostly "Buy It Now" transactions. If that is the case, not sure how/why the seller would back out.

Yes, it is a GREAT deal. If it was listed in the correct category, it would have sold close to 10 times that price.

Yea I have bought items(and paid) which after a day later they say it is out of stock or the listing was a mistake and then list the item the following week lol. Happened to me on a item that was $1 less then what it normally sells for - I kid you not :-/

I got a message saying he drop it at the post office yesturday - but I did not even think it could be worth anywhere near that much - I would of gotten tracking if so :-/

So you bought this three days ago, posted this today and have not had any communication with the seller one way or another and are questioning in your mind if the transaction is legit?

P.S. I notice that the seller is in Canada. Are you in Canada? You are not going to get "tracking" of the transaction to the U.S. for a $1.00 in shipping. you can pay $20.00 for shipment of a high dollar item sent via Canada Post and the best you can hope for is tracking through Customs and an after the fact notice that the item has been "delivered".

Sorry that quote you just did was for other items in the past regarding seller's canceling for little to no reason and gave a example.

I bought this 1914 dollar on the 11th and on the 12th he told me he sent it. My other message saying "Did not get it yet, but ok I see what you mean and thanks." was because I did get scared thinking he would now cancel it but I forgot he sent me the message saying it was sent out yesturday.

    Sorry for the confusion.

OK. Didn't know if it was an auction or not. I haven't been able to bid on Canadian stuff because I only use credit card and they want Pay Pal or something.
Good luck. Anxious to see pics of both sides when you receive it.

It was a buy it now - strange I used my debit card to pay for this. But yea I seen listings where you have to commit to using paypal but TBH it is very rare to HAVE to use paypal to pay for something (In my experience)

@StevieB I can't believe the seller only wanted 5 Canadian for that note. I would have bought it in a heartbeat. It looks legit. Maybe it was a typo. Still crazy. But not as crazy as finding 2 people on the same thread using credit cards on eBay :jawdrop:

Did not even know that you could use credit cards on eBay. I thought they required paypal.

I think they all can take credit cards... processed via PayPal :banghead:

Well, that is very different. Without PayPal Ebay cannot skim off another 3% of the fee.

Have no idea. I didn't know that merchants using credit cards to take payments did not have to pay any fees. Learn something new everyday. Amazing.

You may be right. I am sure they negotiate something lower then we mere plebes have to pay. But I was referring to direct payment by credit card without going through Paypal.
