Found this in my Grandfather's collection:

Don't tell me, it was in a clock and in a cigar box... just funnin'

 

Picked these up last year for the 4 BIE "errors". Randomly gave one of each to another member who was looking for a 55-S.

So now is this THEEEEE 1955 DDO, the one on all collectors Christmas list? Sometimes online the doubling is shown crystal clear revealing two sets of every letter. Other shots do not reveal as clear for some reason. Camera I take it. Anxious to know. Beautiful coin !

 

Also one of the most dangerous to buy uncertified.

 

The coin BadThad posted isn't THEEEEE 1955 DDO. BadThad's is a 1955-S the DDO was a 1955 (no mint mark)

As I recall, I found 3 of these in that roll. This was the best one. That lime green toning is quite rare to find against a full red coin. I've probably seen less than 10 coins with it in my life.
