    I want to share another Mint Error acquisition... 1 Cent 1980
    My question is..
    Do you think it's a Struck Through Die Cap or Struck Through Grease?

    I'm going to hedge my bet. I don't think it is the result of a grease-filled die.

    It looks like the struck through die cap cents that I have found.

    "Late Stage Capped Die" , Early Stage does not show so much "Detail".
    Very nice Cent.

    I think the softness of detail is far too uniform for the coin to have been struck through grease . . . my vote is a capped die strike as well.
