....Tis the season to be jolly.... Let us not forget the spirit of this thread please. Thank you again @Kirkuleez, for your efforts.
I'm gonna like whatever I get, 'cause with only a few exceptions, I "like it all", numismatically speaking.
How can you be against knowing the name of your recipient? If the idea of SS is that easy, let me throw some pocket change in a box and send it to 'anywhere usa'. The whole idea of it, 15 dollar target aside blah blah blah.... is that we are all friends and all are part of one big hobby family here on CT, that's the whole point of why we stay here and log on so often.. at least for me it is. Plus, we are all (mostly) adults, it is way more meaningful to me and I think to the recipient to get a gift that can fill that whole in their album or complete that type set or complete a date and mintmark goal. Just because someone puts a bug in someone's ear doesn't mean in anyway shape or form that your obligated to get them that, but I do believe theirs nothing wrong with dropping hints especially if they believe their recipient is worthy of receiving it... to each their own I guess, some people complain when they aren't sure of what their recipient focuses towards and some complain when they do display what their focused towards. I'm not looking to start an argument nor continue one but I find it amazing how something as joyful as a SS at Christmas time, some of us still find a reason to complain and gripe... Just my two cents.
For me the fun isn't in the receiving, although I like that part. The fun part is getting my recipient and then running my recon to find out just what they like/want/are into etc. From that I compile a hunting list...and from that hunting list the real fun begins trying to find that perfect gift and getting it there on time.
Those small USPS flat rate boxes sure do hold lots of 2017 BU Red Lincolns. Instead of guess the grade, guess the weight.
I bet you do, but you didn’t get it. Maybe you do, but you didn’t get it. The extra stocking stuffer is still available for the one that gets it. The prize will be awarded when it happens.
I honestly have no idea what to get my recipient. He/she doesn't say anything he/she wants, or needs, or 'would like to get one of them' in any thread I can find.
Merry Christmas. Better to give than receive. Deck the halls. God bless us, one and all. Okay, I'm out of shameless attempts to guess what "IT" is.
Thanks @Kirkuleez for arranging the SS for this year. Sending out gift on Mon. Hmm. I get it, it's the thought that counts...Not the gift being sent.
