Hi Bruce .... Here are pics of the E. ALLEN c/s that's possibly a gunsmith. I'm hoping I can match it to one of his, Ethan Allen's, markings on a firearm. I did find a similar mark (see pic), but it's no slam-dunk as yet.

It's silvered bronze, with a bit of wear right over a slightly awkward spot.

I am truly unsure whether this is a Medal or a Token... I have yet to find anything exactly like it... it is made of Silver - 1814 German - in XF+ Condition.

 

I have a version of the 1863 Benjamin & Herrick token that is a little different... has the Flower instead of the Star.

 

I sold this one on EBay back in August for $105... I thought it was pretty damn awesome!!!
