These things, modest though they may be, need new homes.

Prize #1: a pair of BU coins from Timor (1970 bronze 20-centavo & 50-centavo pieces).

Prize #2: an Uncirculated 100-escudo note from Chile. I got this as a freebie in a coin deal a while back from a guy who works for PCGS Currency. I know zilch about paper currency, myself. I believe this one's from the late 1950s or early 1960s. I have no idea what it's worth, but probably not an awful lot. Still, it's a handsome note, in nice condition.

I'll select two (no- three - see below) winners via my usual random number generator method, shortly after the New Year.

To enter, you may post whatever you like. Just put the words "entry post" in your entry so I can sort out the entries from discussion posts when the random numbers are drawn.

    Oh, hey, nice pix.

Sorry there wasn't more date/mint variety. My stash of BU Wheaties is down to a partial roll of '56-P and '58-P coins. I might have a few stray singles in the '57-PD coins.

Sure, they might be late-date commons, but any BU Wheatie is a beautiful thing, in my opinion. I think they make nice "sweeteners" or freebies when you're sending someone a package.

Tell you what- since you've posted pictures (thank you), we'll add a ...

Prize #3: a pair of Red Brilliant Uncirculated Wheat cents like the ones @dwhiz just posted above. Maybe with one or two additional coins, if I find any more.

So I'll draw three winners at the end of the month.

Good idea as these are nice. Old Abe almost looks clean shaven.
A 55 DDO would have been nice;)

    Yeah, wouldn't it? I did have a BU roll of 1955 (non-DDO) pieces. Might've been '55-S.

One time I lucked into two solid rolls of BU 1972 DDOs (die #3) in a roll set of Memorial cents I bought.

Entry Post. I really like that bill from Chile! My cousin was born there, so it would be neat to give to them as a gift!

Any of you who don't necessarily want these items for yourself may enter to win it for someone else. If you win a prize but don't want it, I'll send it to whomever you specify.

Inspired by dwhiz, here is my favorite freebie ala LordM...

..and it's not easy to choose just one, because I've received numerous nice and interesting pieces thanks to your generosity, as have many here on CT.

This was the first Peruvian coin in my collection, I enjoy the obverse in large part due to its beautiful simplicity, and I find the obverse portrait aesthetically pleasing. The date being spelled out on the obv is also a neat little touch, and I speak just enough Spanish to know what it says. ;)
Don't know why, but I'm a sucker for a 5 cent piece on which the numeral occupies a large portion of the reverse, maybe that's why I'm a sucker for V nickels (which most collectors are indifferent towards). The wheat stalk also accents the major reverse features well. And it's in excellent shape for a 75 year old coin to boot.
Enjoy the holidays and stay classy brother.
