Very cool contest @Theodosius! It took me a lot longer than I thought it would to figure it out, lol. I blame bad eyesight though. Nice collection of coins also!
This is awesome, I never win anything, I have seriously bad luck with contests of any kind. I will pay it forward with a contest of my own soon. Thank you Theodosius!
Wow! This is awesome thank you so much! This is an insanely tough choice between 7 and 12, it's killing me! I need to think about this for a few minutes. Thanks, Jacob
Well 9 just got thrown into the equation haha. I'm going to give myself ten minutes to choose because I dont want to make the others wait (I know you say I have time but I would feel badly). Thanks, Jacob
For my part I say take your time and enjoy the process of picking your coin @Youngcoin , I'm in no hurry.
Wow... I can't control myself it's past ten minutes and I'm only back down to 7 and 12. Thanks, Jacob
The more I look through the group photo the more I realize how generous this contest is @Theodosius. You couldn't go wrong with any of these coins YC but I'm a sucker for antoniniani because my first coin was of the type and they are nice in hand.
Ok I am going to share my thoughts and let you guys decide For #7 it is a beautiful ancient coin with the perfect amount of wear and a nice deep dark tone, the reverse is amazing and I have never seen it before and this gives this coin a lot of character that makes me LOVE it. For #12 it is a archetectual type reverse which I have always been fond of and it is quite a hunk of metal as you can tell it would be a lot easier to show it to people without fear of them dropping it and it sounding under the table where I can't get it... it also shows a lot of character and a nice wear look. I'll wake up and see what you guys say and who convinces me then I will give info and a short and sweet paragraph on why it is so awesome Thanks, Jacob
@Youngcoin One of the coins you are considering is also in my top two, if you don't pick it I probably will although I'm close to 50/50 on the two I'm looking at.
The bigger silver coins are always nice. Just so you have a sense for the scale, because it is hard to tell from the photos, but 13, the bronze from Psidia is 35mm and 24.4 grams. It is a real pondskipper. It would make a good sling bullet.
@Youngcoin Here's an idea... figure out if #7 is the red pill or the blue pill compared to #12.... then decide if you are daring and want the red pill or going to be more comfortable with the blue pill.
