1983 D penny, error coin or fake?

Hi guys, I have a few coins I’ve collected and this one was something my grandpa found about 20 years ago. I don’t know how to describe it so I’ll just post pictures. Can someone please explain what I’m looking at? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

What Kurt means is that someone sandwiched another coin with it and pressed the head into your coin.

 

Those must have been some really tight jeans lol!

 

Just like I very rapidly "press" (yeah, let's go with "press") my head against a brick wall sometimes reading threads.

 

I do that sometimes just because of life in general. Haha thanks for the help guys! Obviously coins are not my forte so I appreciate the help!

 

looks like a vise job. 2 coins pressed into each other. notice how the lettering is backwards. real coin... fake situation.
