    Well done @panzerman ! Gorgeous line-up. I agree with @Theodosius ... fantastic Alexander Stater!

I have several of that series, just because they are purdy. (all with motto, though)

Congrats on the Gratian solidus. All in all, some beautiful coins. Fantastic!

Come on, @panzerman! It is almost Channukah! There is milk chocolate inside your coins, right? It’s gelt?!? ;)

I really like them all. I find it funny that if some of those "modern" pieces were from the US they would be worth six figures. That is one of the reasons I hate the US coin market: the coins are waaay overpriced for what they are.

Kinda same. I bought one, but it was in my collection for all of 48 hours. The flip paid for a $100 mistake I made a couple weeks prior. :inpain::oops::happy:

Very true! I have a "unique" FDC AV Florin from Florence circa 1440/ got it for 1200 Euros/ Imagine a similar US coin=1 million+++++;)

And I am sure is has a much more interesting history than "One was made. Lots of people have owned it. This coin will make you a king of collectors. Pay us $$$$$$$."

St. Nicholas Day is coming/ December 6th. But I am getting German Weinbrand Bohnen/ had my first taste back when I was four.....really good. It was neat back in the old days when our "gelt" was in gold/silver coinage. I probably would have had a hard time to spend them.

Those ancients are amazing, but I dig all of the modern coins as well. That king of a tuby horse 1711 coin is kick SWEET!

Just heading off to work....by Saturday i will be done:):):):):):):):):) till next April!!

For coinage struck between 1200-1918/ the ones from Basel/Transylvania/Holy Roman Empire/ German States like Sachsen are outstanding/ not to forget Poland!
Those were the days when coins were a "Work of art", unlike today's modernistic/ mass produced stuff:(
