We had the Hill side quicky mart dope store in Tacoma Wa. in the Seventys. Is it like that also?

Based on the small sample of what I see when I am in waiting rooms I don't think I want to know.

In the 70's? I was in my 20's & 30's and I new absolutely ZERO about dope.

Yep! On "Live-PD" the SC sheriff deputies always cracked a smile when they mentioned the OBAMA.:):):)

Nice. Likely senarios are that either someone passed away and the heirs took the change jar to a coin star or some kid stole dads change jar to buy something.

How often does it happen? NEVER - if you don't look. Just often enough to keep you looking if you do hit a nice one. I'm rarely around coin star machine locations but when I am I always look.

I never scored from a Coinstar machine, but I once received my change $2 in quarters from Chick-fil-A all in standing liberty design. Seen them in the cash register and I asked her if I could have all the quarters and she gave them all to me and there was $2 worth.

I seriously doubt it was an addict. An addict would have grabbed every single penny out of that tray. Trust me I know. I haven't even found a cent laying around all the coin star machines around me due to all the addicts.

I think you're missing my point. If an addict dumped the change into a Coin Star and it was rejected, it is unlikely that he would want to gather it up to find another place to dump it. The fact that you never find any change at your location may only mean that all of the change is accepted. I've found similar machines in my area, but I am certainly not located in a drug-infested locale.

You’ve scored while on the hunt obiously. The CoinStar machines will hit just don’t stop groping them. I have to say though after scoring 8 standing Libertys at a Chick-Fil-A it might be awhile to build up the coin hunting energy again.

That was in 2015 that I got those SLQs at Chick-fil-A. I think the best score ever was $66 face value worth of 1928 $2 Red Seal banknotes from the Casino cashier's cage.

My only real "score" was $8+ in ordinary change from a machine.

No wonder! The CoinStar machines can SMELL you coming and clam right up with that record! LOL

My best score was in 2007 at the Riviera in Vegas. I hit "Catch a Wave", a 5c multi-line video slot, for $2,000 after playing only $3.

If it's an unbelievable find, why should we believe it?
