Can't have a theme called "Ships" without these ships making an appearance.

In case anyone is interested, here is the original box that went with the British version of the medal, along with the propaganda leaflet that went with it. I believe they sold at One shilling a time to raise money for the war effort.
Lusitania Box.JPG Lusitania paper.jpg Interestingly dives on the wreck of the Lusitania in the last 20 years have confirmed that there were munitions on board. Lies, damn lies and propaganda!

Very cool, I'm guessing the box, and leaflet weren't usually kept along with the medal.

Those are cool. A little bit Millennial-generation-gimmicky, sure, but cool and attractive nonetheless. I like 'em! Are they silver rounds?

Here's a ship-themed love token on a dime. Sail onwards with ships.

I agree. The Portuguese made some lovely coins, ship-themed or otherwise, which are appealing in any grade.

Yep, 20 grams of .925 silver each. 1000 mintage.
Maybe a little gimmicky, but they are fantasy pieces. They are very unique, and the high relief adds much depth, making them quite stunning in hand. At least to me. I am attracted to unusual coinage though.

Sometimes gimmicky stuff can be fun. I suppose that's the whole point. Those "ghost ship" medals are ten times more attractive and classier than those ridiculous but popular "Zombucks" things, which I'm sure you've seen.

PS- I'd be totally on board with the Dan Carr cob. Those are cool.
