Playing around with a new camera imaging some coins so figured I'd toss one up for a GTG while I'm at it.

1892 Columbian Half. My favorite commemorative, just an amazing time in US history.

Looks to be a nice, clean 65. Doesn't appear to have the luster for 66.
Also, just an FYI your white balance is off.

I am favoring a MS65 but am unsure.

I know how important white balance is and find myself always off with it when shooting NGC slabs so I imagine the color of the slab is causing it for me. Gotta figure that one out for sure

Very cool! There's so many different collectible things from the expo. I'm not even going to get started because it seems like a slippery slope lol

Oh you're probably right... I sort of fell into this one a dealer friend practically gave it to me. So thought nice exonumia specimen.

Does it double as a bottle opener too?

I really thought about that also... it was a watch fob.

I'm thinking MS63. Luster looks flat and there are some surface issues as well.

MS-63....Also, the color doesn't look 100% to me (questionable color/old cleaning?)

First thought-65. But if that's wear on the cheekbone, 55-58.

Great coin! I love the design, this one one of my first "must haves" when I started collecting! Oh yeah, I'll go 58 because Green18 thinks it.

...a few hits on the cheek and on the sails of the ships likely keep it out of a higher grade...still a nice coin and also one of my favorites!

Shoot, don't go by my assessment brother, but trust in your own.......:)

I thought the ribs in the sails (reverse) seemed a slight bit worn, but overall, a lovely coin that I wouldn't kick out of the cradle.

Nice looking images, I can see some room for improvement, but they are not big steps. :)

I'd guess it's a 64 from the images, I'd call it a middle of the road 64 based on what I can read from the images. Nice strike though.
