Somewhere between AU and 63. The images need to be in better focus.

 

You should really get a book on grading. Otherwise, you'll be a great grandmother before you learn how.

The book or the coin?!

 

I'd call it AU and it's RB. However, AU coins are not typically assigned a color designation, so it really does not matter.

 

Looks like somebody tried to slit his throat instead of the bullet that John Wilkes Booth used to shoot him.

Would that mark give it a details grade? Just wondering for learning purposes.

That's a nice coin. It's the small date variety of that year. The slit throat is the big issue on it. It's just got a tiny, tiny touch of wear, it's on the coat.
