At the grocery tonight, checked the Coinstar, dry hole. Walked by Express Checkout/Customer Service. See a different worker there (usual one is an admitted silver sniper so I don’t bother with it anymore). Ask the new worker if she has any halves. “Yes, two”. I see they’re both silver, reach for my wallet, left it in my truck! Others are now in line hearing all this. Tell her to please hold them while I get my wallet. Zoom out to truck, grab wallet, come back in, and now some guy is buying a money order which takes forever. Wait impatiently and finally success! I haven’t found 2 silvers together in a long time! 71C1EBD6-47F3-4B62-A325-8B5C33A65340.jpeg

I decided to stop at 2 more banks tonight. They scrounged up a total of 1 loose half (junk), and 5 MWRs of halves. The MWRs yielded 2 clad proofs, which I considered better than a stick in my eye!

Found a 1971-D Friendly Eagle Variety in a bit better condition than my previous one. Going in the Dansco! You can Google The Ike Group if you want to know the characteristics of the FEV. I got two more boxes of halves today...two more skunks...6 boxes so far = 6 skunks...then went and picked up two boxes of dimes...yielded 1 silver. When picking up the boxes this morning I got $3 in halves from the teller tray which yielded a WL and 66 Kennedy. So for the day....

I've got a few WL's from boxes but never from a teller tray. Nice Snag!

Hello all. I'm a long-time reader, newer poster.

I don't usually find any silver, maybe one or two 40% every once in a while.

    This time I found a 1987 D 15122629513741089215026.jpg

But i also found the below 1972 halves and wanted to ask you if you thought they were 1) a clipped planchet and 2) a plating issue, or if they were PMD?

Unbelievably, over the course of the past 2 months I have gotten 2 Walking Liberty’s from the same tellertray at the same bank. In CRH there is a lot of high and low. I have yet to find a Ben Frank in the wild. And this 6 box skunk steak on my first ever boxes has got me down. I would be interested to hear of others and the length of their skunk streaks when they very first started half boxes.

I’d like to get my feet wet on submission. Not so much to go after profit but to educate myself. And bec9me a better grader. I’m thinking of submitting 4 coins to NGC. I will start a new thread tomorrow and I’d like your honest opinions on what they would probably grade. I know we have a lot of experts here so I’d appreciate any input.

I am going through a box of used nickels from the bank, and EVERY single super shiny 2016 nickel is doubled! The ones that have lost their luster are not doubled. I doubt it is the desired type of doubling, since there are so many of them. I am very new to coins. Can anyone help me?

I believe it's just wear from circulating over the last 77 years.
It is odd that only that part of the coin is affected, but it's wear nonetheless.

There should be a button that says 'upload file', then 'choose a file' and then insert as a 'full image'.

Trish did not buy my box of pennies today.
But said if I had them Wednesday she would.
So I've been going back through my copper rolls.
I'm only rolling those which have no apparent damage including spots or "blemishes". That's going to give somebody some decent copper pennies.

I don't see any button that says "upload file". Tehn again, it keeps saying it is waiting for me to verify my account, and I never get the verification email. I have sent a PM to Peter, but gotten no reply.
