I think coin B is probably the 64 due to the surfaces, but coin A has a slightly better strike (or possibly from different dies). Either way I like the look of coin A better.

If you really want to have fun, go for a date set in circulated grades. ;)

FWIW: I like B but also would not pay a $100 premium

I agree with this. While I said I preferred coin B...I don't think I $100 more prefer it.

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

Overall I like A better, but I just don't see 100 $ difference either way. I'd pay a few bucks more for A, but that about it. I'd get whichever one is 100 dollar less, and roll that 100 dollars into another coin! :D

Agree--like A better, but with a $100 price difference I'd take the cheaper one. Unless the in-hand look is significantly different.

Well, Coin A is certainly crushing Coin B in the poll, which I didn't expect.

If it gets one more vote it will have crossed the "dozen" threshold, and it will be time to reveal which is the MS63 and which the MS64.

That could be fun, actually! I'm sure there are people doing it.

I agree on both counts. I will almost certainly go for Coin A because it was the clear winner in the poll AND is about a hundred bucks cheaper.

And (shocking confession - *gasp!*) despite my inclusion of "The Bacon Option" in my polls, I'm really more into sausage, myself. ;)

At least I'm not a vegan, right? ;)

Vegetarian I could do. Vegan, nuh-uh.

I could put away some BLTs right about now. With guacamole. On rye. Or croissant.

If it makes y'all feel any better, there was bacon on the hamburger I just ate.

Oh, and thanks for the coin advice. The clear and (this time) unambiguous poll results help me make up my mind.

I have to take exception to your last option. Some of the least malnourished people I know are vegan. I, myself, have been at various stages of my life but right now am merely vegetarian.

I've got about a 15+ diff dates of early/mid 1600's Baltic issues. Used to be able to easily find them for around $4-5 in circulated condition.

They're still quite inexpensive in circulated grades. Maybe not THAT cheap, but relatively cheap still. These, like the Hungarian denars, are some of the more common and available 16th century early-dated coins. I don't mind that so much, since it keeps them obtainable by mere peasants like yours truly.

I've been a vegan for the better part of two decades. People think it's hard but the body adjusts quickly. After you switch your diet, your tastes have changed completely by about 3 months in. Foods you used to love smell completely unappetizing and therefore are not at all difficult to resist.

I lightheartedly ridicule you people and yet respect y'all at the same time. My sister, her husband, and their four sons are all rabbits extraterrestrials vegans, and fit as fiddles, if a bit sallow looking.

They climb mountains and stuff like that.

I can't climb a short flight of stairs without huffing and puffing to put the Big Bad Wolf to shame. :sorry:
