The listing states: 1971 $1 WDDO-001 Description: A Class II spread towards the center shows on the letters of IGWT and slightly on the LIB of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Two parallel die scratches run SE from the bottom of the O in GOD to the top of the U in TRUST. Two parallel die scratches run SE from the bottom right of the W in WE and the top right of the 2nd T in TRUST. Light rotational die scratches can be found in the field surrounding the head of Eisenhower. Obverse Stage B: The Stage A die scratches are very weak, but still visible when viewed at the proper angle. A diagonal die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the O in GOD. Reverse Stage A: The reverse of this variety is also a doubled die listed as 1971 $1 WDDR-001A. Reverse Stage B: The reverse of this variety is also a doubled die listed as 1971 $1 WDDR-001B. Actually their circle scratches from polishing ( grinding ) the dies . Both sides have it . I was fighting the UV light ( sun ) all day . Must of been a easy task, to polish ( grind ) these big dies .
Rick I'm gonna have to agree with paddyman98 By no means am I a fingerprint expert but it sure looks like a thumbprint to me The only reason I say that is because I believe a thumb print would not leave a mark on the stars or the rim of the coin only on the flat face. But isn't that's what's nice we all can see things differently. My two cents worth USMC60
