A good deal for what a counterfeit coin from China? It is pretty interesting they used a pattern design though.
I think it's a good deal, only because it would give me the satisfaction of costing the seller more out of pocket to deliver the fake coin than the insignificant amount it was costing the buyer.
Through currency manipulation they are able to still make a profit, even at 99 cents and free shipping.
I don't see how, since their cost of shipping includes cost of delivery here in the USA, which, given the weight of the "coin", certainly exceeds $.99
Undervaluing their currency internationally compared to what its buying power is back home. Quite brilliant actually.
My point is that it almost certainly costs more than the Chinese equivalent of 0.99 USD to ship the coin to the States, so the currency conversion rate doesn't even matter.
And yet you can get a plethora of goods at that price point direct from China and HK. Their strategy obviously works, or it would not exist all these years.
With the least expensive ePacket cost being $0.98, this seller is not making money. http://ebayquestions.com/2013/01/22/epacket-delivery-from-china-2/
None of them ever ship individual epackets, they use the bulk option. By that chart the bulk option costs them around 35 cents per epacket if they weight one ounce each. Cheaper if they weigh less. This exaplins it well: http://thydzik.com/how-do-chinesehong-kong-sellers-make-money-on-ebay-with-99c-free-shipping-items/ Slightly dated, but still accurate.
