Is this a double die?

    Im new to coin hunting and im trying to learn some more of what to look for in coins. Would this be considered a double die?

    Looks to be shelf like and flattened so it is Mechanical Doubling.. Not a Doubled Die

    And as noted on the sketch of the Doubled "L", the width of the Doubled item will always be greater than the width of the non-doubled item AND the width of the raised portion of the Machine Doubled item will always be smaller than the width of the non-doubled item. A remembering tool, "True Doubling is Additive; Machine Doubling is Subtractive."
