Thanks. Unfortunately the close-up still leaves the details to muddy. From what can be seen, it does have a similar appearance to a rim ding from a subsequently ejected coin (though Nickels aren't reeded) but I've never seen one that produced a trail of that length. I think without some really clear shots of the affected area(s), any ideas I might give would be pure speculation. Sorry. Semper Fidelis
