I came across this in a bunch of foreign coins I put aside: I believe it is a 7 Kreuzer coin from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but I stand to be corrected!
Yep, Austria 7 kreuzer, minted in Vienna (A). Franz (Franciscus) II, by the way, was the last emperor of the Holy Roman Empire which was dissolved in 1806 ... Christian
Here are a couple conders which are part of a larger collection I recently obtained. These two check in at RR and R on the rarity scale and are being sent off for grading. The first features Cain killing Abel (the beginning of oppression) over a dog (loyalty and servitude). The second features Daniel Mendoza (a champion bare knuckle boxer of Jewish-Portuguese decent who invented the modern boxing technique of ducking and sidestepping - he was also apparently the first Jew to ever speak to King George III).
I think Charles Bushnell used the motif on the first image for his "Behold the Manual" medal that he commissioned for Gus Sage after their little flame war. http://www.coinbooks.org/esylum_v15n36a05.html
Still looking for a Panama Pill, but here is a 1904 Panama 5 Centesimos that I added to my set. The 1st year the US started minting coins for Panama.
Sold this one some time ago but came across it looking through some photos. I don't believe I've ever posted it here, although it's possible. Anyway, this was a real beauty and seeing it again makes me question if I should have sold it.
I picked up two sweet Farthing's today both Woodies an George V 1917 in XF +, and an George the VI 1948 in Au. George the V is a crack head...that travels rim to rim.
