I received a jar from a family member that contained 3 rolls of state quarters and a roll of bicentennial quarters along with many loose state and national park quarters. I was told they were "circulated??". They are really pretty; but I was wondering if they are worth anything above face value. If so how do I get them sold???
S mint marks, or coins in superior condition may have a small premium. The odds are 99.999% that these are worth a quarter each.
The biggest goof I ever made was to buy Mint-wrapped rolls of all of the SQ's. I'm just glad that I didn't extend this idiocy to include the Territorial Quarters and the ATB's. Chris
Didn't quite go the mint route, but I was able to get new, unc. rolls from my credit union. Saved 2 of each Philly mint, and traded with another collector for 2 of the Denver mint rolls. They're all stored in plastic tubes. Good thing is that I only have face value tied up in them. The bad thing is that it's 2 grand in face value. I would really like to use the cash towards a nice coin. I know some uncirculated rolls (TN and IL come to mind) carry a premium, but selling on ebay is a hassle, so sooner or later, they may end up back at the Credit Union
Unfortunately, there was a time a few years back when I really needed the cash. So, I sold all of the rolls (105) for a big loss. Chris
Well thanks for confirming what I thought. Was wishing they were worth lots of money; but if wishes were fishes we would be eating Sushi.
