I'm looking for information on the 1981 P WQ that was struck on the Dominican Republic 25C planchette.

    Weight?
    Identifiable Markings?
    Value?

I believe I have one and have only found limited information one Heritage Auctions.

If anyone knows something, please, help me out. If I obtain any confirming facts, I'll post some pics!

    Thanks much.

If I can see some pics, I may be able to post some confirming facts.

What is the weight of your coin? What is the diameter? Is it made from a clad planchet or solid composition? Is it a strong or weak strike? Does it have a plain edge or reeded?

The US mint made coins for the Dominican Republic through 1980. The 25 Centavo is listed as using a 75%Cu/25%Ni planchet. I believe that the planchet may NOT be clad, (the US quarter is a clad planchet) but I can't confirm. Diameter = 24.3mm and the Weight =6.25 gms.

Photos of both sides are needed,
as well as weight, in either grams
    or grains.

We should be able to identify it with
    that info.

That is correct it is not clad, it is a solid alloy. And at that weight about 10% thicker and so should have a very sharp strike.

So all the OP needs to do is get an accurate weight and post a good pic of the both sides and the rim. That should be enough to provide a good recommendation.

All of that info can be found online with a bit of digging, we need pictures and specifications to confirm what you have or don't have.

    Thanks,
