Semi-local news, out of NH. "The bill itself is rare enough, but a closer look revealed signatures from the past, including several World War II admirals and former President Herbert Hoover.".... http://www.wmur.com/article/business-owner-plans-to-donate-rare-dollar2-bill-to-veterans/13667891
I take a table next to Bob at the Nashua Show. That's a very cool find, and I suspect it's worth more than $1000 to the right buyer.
Best bet, was probably not to have it signed, usually brings down the value had a 1959 Sandy Koufax Baseball Card that he signed personally, actually dropped The value of the card
Umm...this is a very common 1928D $2. Without the signatures it's maybe worth five bucks in that condition. No need to worry about bringing down the value here!
I'd like to shake the hand of whoever donated that and anyone that donates another $2, $.25, or $999,999 to any good veterans cause. You get an equal squeeze from me. There must be a pretty interesting story behind this bill which we'll probably never hear of. The Fleet Admiral's got a supercarrier in his name, which I believe is conducting exercises w/ our ally, South Korea, at the moment. I really enjoyed this article from WMUR Garlicus. Thanks for sharing.
Just making the point is all, regardless of anything else, people automatically assume that having something signed is going to increase the value, it has Been my experience that this is not the case.
