The only thing I've learned in this thread is that it is possible, although remotely, to score a free lunch off Cascade.
I hope so because he will get a photo with the "Peacock" like he did with his Lincoln Cent Album fimd...We know alot of the same people just haven't been able to meet yer..LP
Because I now have a fire inside of me to be in the Top 10 on the 1909'-1916' Matte Proof Lincoln Cent set registry 3 down 6 to go..LP
okay smart guy if you have the set registry app on your phone go to your app and go to your what if and put my certification number in and see if it upgrades your set..LOL I'm sure you'll get a kick out of that LOL
LOL You try it also Kasia if you have the app on your phone..I know today will be a good day because we getting closer an closer to the end of this hold Fiasco
Thanks, but I will have to pass on that offer. I don't use the app on my phone and even if I did, it seems fruitless to pursue it. But perhaps there is some sort of strange thing that happens when a person who has that app scans a cert or enters a pulled cert number?
Everything about this hold experience has been strange..All I know is that "God" is good All the Time and what he has for you "No Man" can take it from you...Trust Me they all Wishing for my downfall in some strange hateful way but "God" got me covered in his Grace..LP
Anything done to this slab will be for my enjoyment maybe one of those fancy labels they are offering also put the coin name on the slab insert...Now that would be the best compensation I could ever wish for..LP
Thanks. You saved me 38 pages of reading. I would love to own one that's real but I gave up. Should have bought it 20+ years back when the price was a great deal lower.
I feel blessed to have this one and I wish I knew about them 20 years ago myself I probably would have a MPL Hoard.. I think the prices for them are going to Skyrocket in the future because of the low mintages..LP
Unfortunately I don't believe they will give you a special fancy label saying it is a proof matte. Or perhaps you have named the coin something like The Larry Heritage 1909 VDB Matte Lincoln Cent? Actually, I kind of like the idea of you collecting both mechanical error slabs and Lincoln matte cents. You actually have a good eye to spot a worthwhile cent and with more focus I think you would have a super nice smallish collection. Maybe I will find a nice Matte Lincoln or high-grade MS early Lincoln to put in my pocket, so to speak.
You actually can because they are out there..I think alot of people that have inherited coin collections don't know they have something special when it comes to MPL's... I just can't imagine how many are still in albums like the one Chris found..LP
Hey, Larry are you Rare Tims brother? When you see him next, tell him to update his 69S doubled die thread, we are dying to see his submission results.
Sorry I'm a only child...And I also would like to see the results.. Stories like this and that is what made me dive head-first into the Hobby and when I found my coin I had to tell my story in hopes that it would Inspire another up-and-coming collector to not to give up on looking for Rare Coins..LP
That's a good one. Here's another! IT'S PLAN AND SIMPLY.."A PHOTO CAN'T TELL YOU NOTHING ABOUT A COIN"... LP
